Tecsystem: the Sicilian office
It is October 2019 when, in a still warm autumnal Sicily, the Tecsystem branch dedicated to Southern Italy opens in Termini Imerese, in the province of Palermo.
The building housing the new headquarters is the house that saw the birth of Rosa Lanzarotta, for a lifetime alongside Roberto Conca also in the company's management.
The renovation of the building is full of meaning: Rosa lives in Milan for years, but also takes care of her Sicily from there through Tecsystem.
The spaces are renovated with care and attention and, as it is often with Tecsystem, the treasures of the past take advantage of modernity, while maintaining their original character.
Of course, the positioning of a Tecsystem branch in southern Italy also has an important strategic value, facilitating a direct and dedicated commercial contact even in an area relatively far from the Milan site.
A house lived in by people
Taking care of the business and of the new Tecsystem ‘house’ is a cohesive team consisting of three young professionals: Erika Pusateri, who takes care of the central administration, operating remotely from Sicily, Maria Giardina and Daniele Fobert, who are dedicated to sales, the first with back office tasks, the second on the territory.
Erika was one of the first to join the team: in October 2020, she started working in the branch management, including logistics and sales support, then specialising in the administration area. ‘This period of working on horizontal skills allowed me to gain a general understanding of business processes and flows, which is still useful to me today, even after the evolution of my role exclusively towards administration’.
Daniele joined the team in February 2021 and was immediately dedicated to commercial development in the territory.
‘First with the support of Erika’ from the office, and then of Maria, I have always been involved in developing, in southern Italy, the awareness of our brand, of our products and of their possible applications.
When I came, I started by focusing on small customers, but today, after only three years of activity, we also have big partners who represent the excellence of Italian industry from Lazio on down.’
Maria arrives at Tecsystem on 1 February 2023. After an initial entry period with secretarial and logistics management tasks, she specialised in the commercial area and today is the operational hand in the office of Daniele, who physically visits customers instead.
Towards the future
Already a few years after its opening, Tecsystem's Sicilian branch is a high value-added subsidiary, an achieved objective of a wide-ranging project for the capillary distribution of the company's presence throughout the territory (nationally and worldwide).
And tomorrow?
‘We are growing fast and will certainly bring out all the potential of an area that has so much to give, as Mrs. Lanzarotta and Mr. Conca well knew.
In the meantime we will join our colleagues in Milan, on 16 December, to celebrate Christmas together, in true Tecsystem spirit’.
